Guidance Module 4 - Creating a project vision
A vision is a usually understood as a mental image of what the future will be like. This allows people to think freely about the world they wish to inhabit, their place of work, or their local healthcare facilities. Sustainability should be an important part of the vision, and this will help any new building work better for staff and patients, and improve the local environment, as well as meeting the usual cost and time drivers. If sustainability is overlooked in the vision, it may not receive the attention it deserves during design and construction, and in consequence the health facilities may provoke problems for the future.
