Romano Del Nord is Deputy Rector for the University of Florence and Professor of Technology at the Faculty of Architecture. He is Director of the Scientific Committee of the International Academy of Design and Health and of the SITO
(Società Italiana Tecnica Ospedaliera). He serves as Director for the Inter-university Research Center (TESIS), a research and teaching programme on healthcare facilities. He is also consultant for the Ministry of Public Health
developing regulations and guidelines for hospital design. Professor Del Nord has been Chairman of the four World Congresses on Design and Health and serves as an expert for the Ministry of Public Works and for the Ministry of Education. He is a partner at CSPE Architects in Florence, specialising in
healthcare buildings.
