Two of the most difficult challenges facing the clinician providing care for allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplant (HCT) patients are graft-versushost
disease and infectious complications.1 Fungal infections such as invasive aspergillosis continues to be one of the major causes of infectious morbidity
and mortality after allogeneic HCT. In addition, patients with acute leukemia, heart and lung transplant,AIDS and major burns are also at risk for invasive fungal diseases.
