Creatively responding to special requirements
Examined in this article is the design and development of a major new healthcare facility, the Rancagua Regional Hospital, in Rancagua, Chile. For the hospital, which is under construction and which will be owned by O’Higgins Health Service – Region VI, meticulous attention has been given to a variety of factors including patient comfort, environmental responsibility, and special safety considerations because of the hospital’s location in an earthquake zone. The hospital will cover 87,715 m2.
