A prescriptive path to energy efficiency improvements for hospitals
DEVELOPMENT OF A PRESCRIPTIVE PACKAGE OF ENERGY EFFICIENCY MEASURES TO OBTAIN ENERGY SAVINGS AND EARN POINTS UNDER THE GREEN GUIDE FOR HEALTH CARE VERSION
Research began in Fall 2006 to develop a prescriptive path to energy improvements that could be incorporated as an alternative pathway to meet the requirements of the Green Guide for Health Care’s (GGHC) Optimize Energy Performance credits. Through a process that included DOE-2.1E modeling, evaluation of measures for cost effectiveness, climate neutrality, and confidence of energy performance, a prescriptive package was assembled comprised of the following energy efficiency measures (EEMs)
Contents:
APPENDIX 1 Report on modeling of hospital in New York City, New York
APPENDIX 2 Report on modeling of hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota
APPENDIX 3 Report on modeling of hospital in Houston, Texas
APPENDIX 4 Sensitivity Analysis Report
